OzWind granted Victorian Labour Hire Licence by State Authority

Victorian Labour Hire Licensing Authority has granted OzWind Pty Ltd with a licence to provide labour hire services in the State. The Authority is an independent statutory authority responsible for licensing and regulating the provision of labour hire services in Victoria. The Labour Hire Authority (LHA) protects Victorian workers from exploitation by hosts and providers of labour hire services, and works to improve the transparency and integrity of the labour hire industry.

The LHL Act covers work performed within Victoria, and in order to operate legally in Victoria, a labour hire provider must be licensed.

A labour hire provider is an individual or organisation that:

• supplies workers and pays them to perform work in and as part of a host’s business
• recruits workers for a host and provides accommodation, and/or
• recruits workers as independent contractors for a host and manages the contract performance.
