Goldwind / Professional Wind Services - Full Crane & Assembly
Esperance Wind Farm
Horizon Power partnered with Australian-owned energy specialists, Pacific Energy, to deliver the Esperance Power Project that powers Esperance with up to 50 per cent renewable energy. The new integrated power system includes two 4.5MW wind turbines located at the renewables hub.
Following a promotion to Project Director, OzWind Founder, Adam Dodd, managed the successful delivery of three concurrent projects for Professional Wind Services, which included the Full Crane & Assembly work package at the Esperance Power Project.
The Full Crane and Assembly work package was the first in the company’s history, the first full rotor lift in the company's history, and was the first of the S4 platform turbines installed in Australia by turbine supplier Goldwind. Due to strong performance (along with crane subcontractor Joyce Krane), which exceeded expectations and met installation (erection) labour targets, the company and all team members received a performance bonus from the Client - Goldwind. This was all completed during the height of COVID restrictions and constraints.
