Project owner Global Power Generation (GPG) selected Global Turbine Manufacturer, Vestas, to supply and install 23 x V136 Vestas turbines at the Hawkesdale Wind Farm Project site in South West Victoria.
OzWind was engaged directly by Vestas to provide Project Support and Superintendency Services. This included the collective planning, coordination and reporting of installation works being performed by up to four separate contractors, and liaising with other key stakeholders (such as the crane and transport contractors) to maximise efficiency, productivity and resource utilization. Duties also included scheduling, sequencing, strategic guidance, consultancy, and general advisory services. By effectively coordinating the efforts of multiple contractors and maintaining open lines of communication with key stakeholders, OzWind helped Vestas streamline the installation process and capture key project data.
